Chairman of the technical committee of the NFF, Barrister Chris Green has said that the recent form of Egyptians in the various European competitions should not be a thing to worry when both teams clash in a double AFCON 2017 qualifier.
Christoper Green
“Elneny is just one player in the pack of 11, so I don’t think they need to worry over a player, they need to worry over a team.
“You must respect the Egyptians of course, they have the pedigree but at the same time we must be able to hold our own.
“By playing at home we should be able to hold our own and I expect that we will deliver,” he said.

The duo of Mohammed Salah and Mohammed Elneny were in fine form for the various clubs respectively in the quarter finals of the UEFA Champions League ties against Spanish giants, Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Mohammed Elneny got a superb leveler for Arsenal against the Catalan giant but was not enough for his team as they fell 1-3 at Nou Camp while Mohammed Salah could not convert clear cut chances that came his way against Real Madrid and eventually lost 0-2 in Spain.
Ahmed Hassan also featured in the Europa league for his Portuguese side, Sporting Braga and was on the score sheet in the 4-1 demolishing of Fenerbache.
The trio of Mohammed Salah, Mohammed Elneny and Ahmed Hassan are part of the five foreign based players invited to camp ahead of the double header against the Super Eagles of Nigeria.
