A seven-year-old girl has caused a stir when she accused her father, Prophet Benjamin Bernard of having carnal knowledge of her.
According to The Nation, the 41 year old cleric who is one of the presiding pastors of Destiny Explosion Ministry located in Benin City after the minor made the accusation.
According to the girl who is the accused’s third daughter, the act was committed on January 26 and her father was arraigned before an Ogbeson magistrate court

The victim during her testimony by the prosecuting counsel from the state Ministry of Justice, Kenneth Ugiagbe, told the court that her father used a white handkerchief to clean her private part after committing the act. She alleged that the prophet warned that he would kill her if she mentioned it to anyone.

Mrs. Taye Omoruyi who was the presiding magistrate ordered that Bernard be remanded in prison custody and adjourned the case to March 16 for further hearing.
In a related incident a pastor was arrested in Ebonyi state after reportedly luring a female member to an uncompleted building and sexually harassed her.
