Footage, believed to have been captured in Madhya Pradesh, shows the moment the 38-year-old appears on screen, seemingly dancing and enjoying himself before he was shot
In a video footage several men are seen shooting a firearm into the sky as merry music plays in the background and dancing Mr Patel appears on screen.

Next moment one of the guests, who is holding his rifle horizontally, pulls the trigger and the groom’s father suddenly falls onto the ground.

Celebratory gunfire is culturally accepted in parts of the Balkans, the Middle East, the Central Asian region of Afghanistan, the South Asian regions of Pakistan and Northern India.

Common occasions for celebratory gunfire include New Year’s Day as well as the religious holidays Christmas and Eid. The practice may result in random death and injury fromstray bullets.
