Alhaji Lai Mohammed apologised for the hardship poor power caused Nigerians.
The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has recently stated that it is difficult to get a replacement for Lai Mohammed, the party’s former spokesperson.
Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, the national chairman of the APC, admitted that the party had a problem getting a spokesperson to fit into Mohammed’s shoes.
“I think that should be done very shortly. In fact, the issue is getting somebody that can be as close as possible to the outstanding performance of the present minister of information, Lai Mohammed,” he said.
The statement triggered stormy reactions among Nigerians who mocked the former spekesman and accused him of telling a lie.

Meanwhile, Festus Keyamo, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, analyzed recent utterances by Lai Mohammed and proffered ways of approach for the Peoples Democratic Party.
“Opposition needs to constructively engage Lai Mohammed on arguments he proffers. To just bandy the word ‘lie, lie,’ won’t convince anyone,” he noted.
