“Although Queens College is a federal school, it is located in the state. The state has encountered uncooperative attitude of the school authorities and call for the temporary removal of those concerned in the issue, pending the outcome of the investigation,” she said.

“We, therefore, implore the Federal Ministry of Education to direct officials of the school to cooperate with state’s social workers in the best interest of the children.

Olaseni Osifala believes there is an organised conspiracy against him

Osifala, who had been held at the Police Headquarters, Ikeja, since Tuesday afternoon, was released after a former Lagos state deputy governor intervened.

The politician was said to have been contacted for intervention by the school management.

It will be recalled that on Monday, March 21, the management of Queens College threw its weight behind the accused teacher, after the story which was published on a blog.

Apart from students, workers and residents demonstrated with placards in solidarity with the accused teacher, whom they claimed was a man of proven integrity.

The school’s principal, Lami Amodu, also released a statement, vouching for the integrity of Olaseni.

In the statement, she said the allegation was an attempt to ridicule not just Olaseni but the hard-earned reputation of Queens College.

It is not known if Amodu is aware that several former pupils of the school have said Olaseni used language of a sexual nature towards them before.

Most of them admit that Oshifala was fond of using vulgar and sexual words when speaking to students even as others claim they are victims themselves.
